2014 will come and go and I think this will leave many JW without a vague armageddon date in mind. I think this is significant. The millenium came and went, 9/11 didnt bring armageddon, the financial crisis is holding flat, once 2014 passes there are no more significant waits, no time frame to work towards.... No prophecy, no nothing... Think people will leave.
After 2014......the WTS could lead the JW people on by just talking about how Noah preached for 120 years before the flood came and destroyed the wicked. Counting from 1914 that would buy them up through 2034.

After all the years of brainwashing us about how only JW's are carrying out the "urgent life saving work" proclaiming God's Kingdom, it really is an eye opener to see just how irrelevant JW's are in modern society. People don't have a clue about what JW's believe that could be enough info to base an eternal decision on. After all the WTS is responsible for the image that people have of the JW's being a kooky cult. If the WTS believed their own bullshit they would have taken the lead in using mass media to spread their Kingdom message and keep the image more christian than cult.

Even if one privately doesn’t agree with the Governing Body on ALL points, this is viewed as a serious sin. That, my friends, is a cult.
The JW's truly are a cult. In what other mixed up religious thinking can a Governing Body "new light" doctrine change be passed with less than 100% of the GB vote, yet 100% of the JW membership is expected to accept & believe it or be labeled an apostate.

What I found boring was all the JW meetings and assemblies where people would drone on and on in prayer, talks & comments kissing the Governing Body's asses.
